They do great work on behalf of the homeless including the new Red Tent campaign. They will be using red tents to visually bring awareness to the issue to the world media in Vancouver from Feb 12 - 28, 2010. A very important time to be doing this. Visit their website and learn more about what great work they are doing. www.pivotlegal.org

So I decided to make this limited edition piece of art to raise awareness and money to support this cause, plus a little more. First, I hope to do is raise enough money to give a $500 donation to the Pivot Legal Society's Red Tent campaign. Second, to buy $1,000 worth of art supplies and distribute it directly to artists in my community who are homeless or have experienced homelessness.

For just $25, you can help me achieve this and get a piece of my art as well!

Artwork information:

Title: Red Tent 212282010
Medium: Two color silk screen, grease crayon, ink
Paper size: 8.5" x 11"
Edition size: 125, Signed and numbered
Price: $25 US or CAN
Shipping $5 Anywhere in US or Canada

Payment: customers in Canada - Paypal, check, cash. customers in US - Paypal, cash.

To buy, simply reply to this email with the following information:
1. How many prints you want.
2. Your complete name and mailing address. Unless it is not being mailed. Then just your name.
3. How you would like to pay. If by Paypal, please include your account name and I will send you an invoice there.
You will receive a confirmation email from me which will include a mailing address to mail cash or check if you are paying that way.

Thank you for supporting my ideas, the arts and the homeless in my community.

Yuri Arajs
www.YuriArajs.com

And feel free to pass this email onto your friends!pilothttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272466448578088663noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5149979354199791548.post-36831185173822788562010-08-06T11:01:00.000-07:002010-08-06T11:02:54.667-07:00Jennifer Davis Print $20<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 326px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd2JMsf0LkAQ7XVCx3W416MALomhEQN330J4VQDChi4WrZM69jLwBuz85rkx-EL-Lf86-uz_JLjgMP3a0OPoxbMjswBXdkyhSYOvx_odU_qPXapIV5ceXmkiwzRCgjHfdLZiNBSltk4Ww/s400/TugOWar.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5501573892071975666" />"Tug O' War" print available now from <a href="http://www.tinyshowcase.com"target="_blank">Tiny Showcase.

limited edition of 100
6" x 7.5" (plus border for framing)
$20 each.

$250 from the sale of this print will go to <a href="http://www.springboardforthearts.org/"target="_blank">Springboard for the Arts <a href="http://www.springboardforthearts.org/Services/ERF.asp"target="_blank">Artist Emergency Relief FundJennifer Davis Arthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17143576400525163528noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5149979354199791548.post-3894786142742791992008-10-22T16:13:00.000-07:002008-10-22T16:22:04.962-07:00Yuri Arajs opens on-line ONLY exhibit<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYbBUhl0wakpoPCYwgTfklEA0wBepIMWkjBOjC5oSG79Ujf_S8yMG0-R9UGocadU6RLfhpdUXI-4qnRxqtk7PdOSA5h50HV16qCMPdCQnfqsfvAS6ESlMyb-twP_3EcSgvlSlbCgQBw2s/s400/floral-web-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260121301042249842" />

Twenty One Florals by Yuri Arajs
November 1 – December 20, 2008

Exhibit location:
TwentyOneFlorals.blogspot.com

The exhibit will feature twenty one (21) new floral paintings on paper, which focuses on his love of mark making.

“It was hard to decide to do a show of just single floral paintings. In August of 2006 they premiered a series of paintings and collages based on their mutual admiration of and inspiration garnered from each others work. In the show (Rosalux Gallery, Minneapolis), entitled "Delightful", each artist used elements from the others artwork to create a new piece. An additional work was created using the original "collaborative" piece and so on and so on creating a visual dialogue in paintings and mixed media pieces that were new, yet familiar. The show was a local favorite receiving "delightful" reviews from every major local print media. Alspach and Payne are the reigning kings of condo art; their bold, iconic paintings hang in the hippest rehabs. It makes sense, given that Alspach creates his works from salvaged construction debris, discarded billboards, and metal signs—perfect for that industrial ethos. Payne’s portraits of his youthful peers are similarly striking, evoking both coolness and vulnerability.

Attest and Grow
New Works in New Mediums by Amy Rice
Gallery 122 at Hang It
September 7 - September 28
Opening Reception: September 7th 7-10pmpilothttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272466448578088663noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5149979354199791548.post-11929865929650589462007-08-19T19:14:00.000-07:002007-08-19T19:27:08.348-07:00Amy Rice Solo Show in Philadelphia<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px;
